How do I enrol in SHARE?

Do you have vacancies?

If you're already enrolled in before and/or after school care, you will be able to view availability of vacancies through the My Family Lounge. If you are enrolling for the first time, we will contact you to advise you of current availability for the days that you have requested via the My Family Lounge website

Can anyone come to SHARE?

The centre provides care for primary school age children 5-12 years old. The only criterion for attendance in our Before and After School Care program is that your child/ren attend Summer Hill Public School. Children from any school can be enrolled in vacation care, although we have a priority of access policy which can be viewed here.

 

How do I cancel care?

To permanently cancel care for your child, you need to do so via the My Family Lounge website login. If your child is going to be absent for a day they are permanently booked in, you need to give 5 days' notice. If less notice is given we will mark them as absent, however you will still be charged fees for that day.

How do you change your permanent days?

Do so via the my family lounge website (not the app) and put in request to cancel the day/s.

 

How far in advance do I need to cancel before being charged?

5 days

Can I just get casual bookings?

Yes, login to the app and you will be able to see if we have vacancies on the days you are requiring.

How far in advance do I need to enrol before I need services?

Before and After School Care can accommodate 150 children, so we recommend 12 months.

How long is the waitlist?

It depends on vacancies. At the beginning of year there is usually a waitlist, but as the year progresses more vacancies generally appear. Contact SHARE to enquire about the waitlist.

 

Is there a priority of access?

SHARE understands that for families, enrolling their child into Outside School Hours Care can be an important priority. However, the demand for Outside School Hours Care sometimes exceeds the number of places SHARE is approved for and there may be a waiting list to manage family demands. When this happens, SHARE will comply with the Australian Government ‘Priority of Access Guidelines’ to ensure places are allocated to families with the greatest need for child care support. These Guidelines will be strictly adhered to and failure to meet these Guidelines is a breach of the conditions of continued approval for receiving Child Care Subsidy. The guidelines will be used during enrolment, when there is a waiting list for our service, or when a number of parents are applying for a limited number of vacant places. When can my children start coming to SHARE? 

We accept children from kindy to Year 6. However, we have a policy around kindergarten children attending December/January vacation care prior to attending school ie can they come to vacation care before starting before and after school care. View Policy here.

Who do I speak to if I have a concern/complaint?

Any complaints or concerns you have should be addressed with Nominated Supervisor. If you are not satisfied with the outcome you can ask for the contact details of the President of SHARE, or put your complaint/concern in writing to him/her.
